The Icarus is a taint in the Stoneheart Trilogy. George and Edie meet this statue in Ironhand.

History

The Icarus is a statue titled Icarus III. It was made in 1960 by Michael Ayrton, the same sculptor who made the Minotaur. The Icarus is placed by the Old Charge Court in London.

Personality

The Icarus is nearly always in pain due to its wings being attached to its body. Because of the pain, it has a habit of screaming and shrieking.

Role In plot

Ironhand

The Icarus is recruited by the Walker after its brother, the Minotaur, is killed. The Walker uses the Minotaur's death to persuade the Icarus to take revenge on George and Edie.
